"Have we enough courage to unmask false stars? Are we ready to truly look for the person who can give us a final answer never an illusory one – and will continue to do so until we find that person in our life? Where are out stars today? Where is the star of our life?". These are some of the questions raised this morning by Cardinal Karl Lehmann to young people present at the catechesis guided by him in the historical theatre (Historischen Stadthalle) in Wuppertal. "Stars, in German "Sternen", who are shown to us every day by the entertainment industry: are they really the stars of our life?", continued the Cardinal, adding: "The Magi, the Three Wise Kings, (at whom perhaps we smile) are far wiser than we are. These scholars of the stars are really yearning for truth, they really give everything for the search for truth. They were pagans, who initially seemed to be so poor, have in reality received the gift. The Magi become heirs of wealth". Hence the invitation to imitate them, because "those who believe they are in the truth and think they have it, show they are foolish".
