XX WYD: LIVE ON THE INTERNET, FROM AUGUST 16TH TO 21ST, THE YOUTH TV, 12 HOURS’ BROADCASTING IN GERMAN, FRENCH AND ENGLISH

” “A live Internet TV, entirely devoted to the World Youth Day, made of young people for young people, with 12 hours of daily news in German, French and English. This is the new initiative (www.weltjungendtag.tv) that, from tomorrow August 16th to Sunday August 21st, will involve a team of 60 people, including journalists and volunteers. The schedule will include round tables on the WYD issues, service programs, international news, concerts and reports on the most important initiatives. It will broadcast full reportages on all of the greatest events attended by the Pope, live through the Ebu (European Broadcasting Union). The young can consult experts on the WYD issues as well as express their wishes and feelings. Christians from all over the world will talk of their experiences and young people of different religions will comment on the WYD events. All this will be broadcast direct from the Pressezentrum (Press centre) located in the Kölnmesse, the congress centre of Cologne. The WebTV is provided in conjunction with some TVs and the Austrian and German Bishops Conferences.
