WYD: FROM THE AUSTRALIAN COMMITTEE, A “VIRTUAL PILGRIMAGE" TO SIDNEY 2008

A monthly newsletter to get ready for the World Youth Day of Sidney 2008. It is called "ePilgrimage" and it is a virtual pilgrimage promoted by the organising comnmittee of Sidney 2008, directed by the forty-six-year old auxiliary bishop of the Australian city, mgr. Anthony Fisher. "It is with joy and faith in God – writes the bishop to the young on the official website of the Australian WYD, www.wyd2008.org – that we set on this journey to the WYD of Sydney in 2008. To get really ready for the walk to Sydney and to help us enter the reality of Christian life, we have developed this virtual pilgrimage. The ePilgrimage you will receive once a month will contain a message from me about a subject inspired by the year of the WYD, testimonies of boys and girls who have taken part in the past WYDs, prayers, readings, lives of the saints, a virtual tour to places of pilgrimage and other information to get ready for your journey to Sydney". The first issue of the newsletter is about Mary, "a wonderful starting point for our pilgrimage". To share the epilgrimage subscribe on the official website of the WYD 2008.
