Poupard, in particular, to the members of the Papal Academy of the Immaculate Conception and the International Marian Papal Academy. The first one deals with devotion in the sanctuaries and Marian spirituality, the second one coordinates experts in Mariology and promotes international meetings. Both, said the cardinal, "must work harder and harder in research and study, so that the life and culture of the believers will be relentlessly enlightened by a just, appropriate knowledge of the Virgin". Hence the encouragement made by the President of the Papal Council of Culture "to carry on with the coordination of the lecturers of Mariology for an educational interchange in the sphere of the current theological research, especially the contribution of the local cultures".” ” ” “
