The Churches dedicated the Assembly to "The light of Christ shines on everybody, Hope of renewal and unity in Europe". What’s new about Sibiu compared with the two previous assemblies of Graz and Basel is the fact that the great event of 2007 will follow a "pilgrimage" consisting of several stops: the churches will promote a number of national events about the subject of the Assembly between the Pentecost 2006 and the Week of Prayer for the Unity of Christians of 2007. Then, there will be a meeting in Wittemberg, the city of the Reform, in February 2007, which will bring the Churches to Sibiu, Romania, a country with an Orthodox majority. "There are reads on the Letter of the Churches many ways to take part in the Third European Ecumenical Assembly". We can first of all "start by praying for this ecumenical journey"; join "the celebrations and meetings that will be held in the vast majority of European countries"; "visit the website (www.eea3.org)"; "encourage others to contribute their idea". The Sibiu Assembly conclude the Churches "is not an end in itself, but rather a step in the answers of the Christians of Europe to the prayer of Christ, may all be one".
