“Today, let’s think in particular of our Christian brothers and sisters in the Holy Land and across the Middle East. Let’s entrust to God the sufferings and the pains of all the victims of the violence of war. Let’s pray for peace and forgiveness, for the wish to find agreement and for the respect of every human life”. This is the intended prayer that the Belgian Bishops, following Benedict XVI’s exhortation to pray in the local churches for peace in the Holy Land and across the Middle East, have entrusted today to the parish priests and to the parish communities, inviting them to include it in the Sunday celebrations of July 22nd and 23rd.
