"May you be more and more numerous, to serve the cause of the Kingdom of God in today’s world". It is the hope of the Pope for the "new movements in the Church", met this afternoon at the Marian Sanctuary of Jasna Gora. "The vitality of your communities is a sign of the active presence of the Holy Spirit", said Benedict XVI at first, recalling that "your mission sprang from the faith of the Church and the richness of the fruits of the Holy Spirit". "Believe in the grace of God accompanying you, and introduce it in the living tissues of the Church, and in particular, where the priest, the man or woman religious cannot reach": it was the order of the Pope, who then supplied detailed information to invite the various ecclesial organizations to a sort of self-evaluation. "The movements you belong to are various", actually pointed out the Pope: "You feed yourself on doctrines coming from different schools of spirituality, acknowledged by the Church. Take advantage of the wisdom of the saints; use the heritage they left us. Shape your minds and your hearts on the works of the great masters and faith witnesses; remember that the schools of spirituality must not be a treasure shut down in convents or libraries" (to be continued).
