” ” ” “"Only knowledge and recognition of the Other may lead Christians, in an inter-religious setting, to a different perception of Hebraism and the Jewish to a different perception of Christians": this is the background of the idea of the Swiss Commission for Jewish-Catholic Dialogue (Cdjc), to publish in these days a document called "The image of the Other", the fruit of a reflection within the Commission and a workshop in cooperation with Maison Vassalle in Bad Schönbrunn (Zurich). In this booklet, published in German, French and Italian, "the Biblical science, Hebrew, inter-religious, philosophical and sociological, look at the image of the Other". At a time that is challenged once again by "the phenomena of anti-Semitism, racism and hatred of foreigners", the Commission for Dialogue is trying to "walk the way of mutual respect and understanding of Hebraism and Christianity".
