With a speech at the Divine Liturgy, which will be celebrated on the Feast of Saint Andrew in the Patriarchal Church of Saint George in Istanbul, today Benedict XVI starts the third day of his apostolic journey in Turkey. Late in the morning, he and Bartholomew I will sign the "joint declaration". Later on, the Pope will visit the museum of Saint Sophia and, in the apostolic Armenian cathedral, he will join in prayer the Patriarch Mesrob II toi whom he will address a speech. Three other meetings have been planned for this day: the first one with the Syrian-Orthodox Metropolitan Bishop, the second one with the Great Rabbi of Turkey, and the third one with the members of the Catholic Bishops Conference with whom he will stay for dinner. Tomorrow morning, the Pope will celebrate Mass in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and will leave for Rome at just after 1 pm.
