Actually, "by proposing themselves as proactive players in each area, the diocesan weeklies inform in an exhaustive, correct manner, make the citizen’ aware of the facts and problems of their surroundings, promote public involvement". Such a plan involves stepping beyond the "home-made" dimension to move on to "a veritable corporate organisation", that is, "quality and efficiency" as its rationale. In addition, "the papers must be able to make themselves read by ‘family’, ‘ordinary’ target groups", further boost "synergy plans" and develop weeklies without "separating them from the other media of the Italian Church, especially Avvenire, in order to boost a common growth". In celebrating the fortieth anniversary and looking at the future of Fisc, card.
