These are the words of the Papal Council for inter-religious dialogue, in its message of good wishes to the Muslims on the occasion of the end of Ramadan. The message, named: “Christians and Muslims: in confident dialogue to face together the challenges of our world”, signed by the president and secretary of the Papal Council, card. After wishing to Islam believers "peace, tranquillity and joy in your hearts, in your homes and in your countries", the Papal Council recalls that "although seeing what is good and thanking the Lord, it is impossible not to realise the serious problems that oppress our time: injustice, poverty, tensions and conflicts". In particular, "violence and terrorism are a particularly painful plague".
