BENEDICT XVI: "INTEGRAL EDUCATION OF CHILDREN IS A PRIORITY"

An appeal to the rulers of the nations and to "all the people who play a role in social life", that "they may do all they can to give hope to their peoples, by taking up their deepest aspirations so that they can benefit from the product of the natural and economic assets of their countries, according to principles of equity and justice". It was made today by Benedict XVI as he received in audience, for the submission of their credentials, the ambassadors of Thailand, Seychelles, Namibia, Gambia, Suriname, Singapore and Kuwait. From this perspective, the Pope advised them to pay special attention "to the young generations, a country’s first and foremost asset". (continued)
