” “"Strengthening relations with the Bishops and the directors of the Pastoral Offices" and "promoting the ‘Agora of the youth of the Mediterranean’ project". This is the aim of the visit of a delegation of the Cei service for the youth pastoral, the Cei office for cooperation between the Churches and the Centro Giovanni Paolo II of Loreto to the Balkans, starting tomorrow, Thursday 1st March, in Albania. "The Agora is due to the fact Loreto and the Holy House are naturally bent to act ‘as bridges’", explains father Paolo Giulietti, in charge of the National service for the youth pastoral. "Every year, young people from the Mediterranean areas come to Loreto for this initiative, and now we would like to make the bonds created during these meetings more stable and effective". In ten days’ time, the Italian delegation will stop in Albania, Fyrom, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia, where it will meet local young people and church authorities. "The situation of the Balkans goes on Giulietti is varied, and Catholic, Orthodox and Muslim traditions live together there, with places where Catholics are the majority, and other places where they are just a small group". It is therefore "a testing ground for multicultural experiences, to which we are close both geographically and in terms of twinships with the Churches".” “
