In a telegram sent to the Spanish Defence Minister, José Antonio Alonso Suárez, and to the military ordinary, archbishop mgr. Francisco Pérez González, the Spanish Bishops Conference expresses its condolence for the death of six Spanish soldiers and the wounding of another two, who were also members of the Unifil peacekeeping mission, in a terrorist attack in Lebanon yesterday. In the telegram, the Secretary General of the Spanish Bishops Conference, mgr. Juan Antonio Martínez Camino, thanks the soldiers for their efforts and condemns "the terrorist attack that no cause can justify". Mgr. Camino expresses, on behalf of the whole episcopacy, his closeness to and solidarity with the families of the victims, praying for the victims and also for the recovery of the wounded soldiers". ” ” ” “
