The yearly meeting of the European Vocation Service (Evs), the organisations that gathers the national vocation directors of the 34 European Bishops Conferences (Ccee), will be held from June 28th to July 1st 2007 in Zadar (Croatia). The preparation to the meeting was coordinated by the auxiliary bishop of Gniezno (Poland), mgr. Wojciech Polach, president of Evs and Ccee delegate for vocations, and by the current coordinator, father Jean-Pierre Leroy, director of the Vocation Department of the Belgian Bishops Conference. The subject chosen for this year’s meeting is "The family: a place of vocation" and "explores informs Ccee in a release today the role and responsibility that the family, as the first basic Christian community, has since the birth and acquisition of every Christian vocation. In particular, the subject will focus on 2 major issues: the family, a place of inner reflection; the family: a place of mission". One session of the meeting, says Ccee, "will be focussed on a presentation and an update of the work done by the different vocation departments of the European Bishops Conferences, which will emphasises the wealth and difficulties of the Christian communities in Europe".
