The Pope said "he is confident that the spirit of cooperation that has marked our diplomatic relations for over five decades will keep promoting the fundamental values which help support the intrinsic dignity of the human person”. The goal that both Christians and Muslims share, recalled the Pontiff, is to "promote peace and justice in the world to guarantee a better future for mankind.
