The four Christians who had been abducted on 4th July in Emerli, a place that has recently been hit by a terrorist attack which killed 170 and wounded 205, have been released. The news was given to SIR by mgr. Louis Sako, bishop of Kirkuk. The four Christians had escaped, because of threats, from the neighbourhood of Dora, in Baghdad, to go back to their native village of Dairabun, in the district of Zakho, Kurdistan, when they were abducted by a group of terrorists. The four Christians have been released through the joint Christian-Muslim mediation of mgr Sako and the sheiks of Kirkuk.
