THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF EUROPE: ROME, COMECE CONGRESS OPENING TODAY

” “The congress "Values and prospects for the Europe of tomorrow. The 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome", promoted by Comece (Commission of the EU Bishops Conferences), is opening in Rome today until 25th March. The event, which will be attended by nearly 400 people from all over Europe, aims at "helping Christians identify and assert the values that have guided the European project since its very start and that must be renewed today for the European Union to respond to the ambitions that the citizens and the world build around them".
