"The values that have distinguished and still distinguish the European unification process come from the religious traditions, especially the Christian traditions, the consistent liveliness of which is significant for the future of the European Union". Adrianus van Luyn, president of Comece (Commission of the EU Bishops Conferences), who will be in Rome this morning for the press conference (in the Foreign newsroom, via dell’Umiltà, 83/c, at 11 am) for the presentation of the Report of the Committee of the Sages, called "A Europe of values. The ethical dimension of the European Union" and the congress "Values and prospects for the Europe of tomorrow. The fiftieth anniversary of the Treaties of Rome", promoted by Comece in Rome from 23rd to 25th March.
