” “The celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome will take place between Berlin and Rome. The highlight of the EU institutions will be held in the German capital and is the summit of the heads of state and government (24-25 March) in which they will disclose a "Declaration on the future of Europe". In Rome, the Commission of the EU Bishops Conferences (Comece) has organised (23-25 March) the European congress, "Values and prospects for the Europe of tomorrow". The schedule will be revealed to the press on Thursday 22nd March (at 11 am) in the foreign newsroom. During the congress (Saturday 24th March, at 01 pm), the "Message of Rome" will be proclaimed and received by the prime minister of Italy, Romano Prodi. Also on Saturday (at 11 am), the participants will be received in audience by Benedict XVI. The Comece congress will also be attended by mgr. Dominique Mamberti, secretary of the Holy See for the Relations with the State, the president of Ireland, Mary McAleese, the deputy president of the European Commission, Franco Frattini, the president of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pottering, and the president of the Italian Bishops Conference, mgr.
