Another mistake made by the Jesuit father, according to the Holy See, is the "distinction between the Son and Jesus, which suggests to the reader the existence of two entities in Christ", which is "incompatible with the Catholic faith", which states, instead, "the unity of the person of Jesus Christ in two natures, the divine and the human one". Between Jesus and the Kingdom of God, claims Sobrino, there is, of course, a "special relationship", since "Jesus is the final, ultimate and eschatological mediator of the Kingdom", but Jesus and the Kingdom "are distinguishes in such a way that the bond between them seems to be deprived of its peculiar content and uniqueness", and therefore it clashes with the "sole, peculiar, universal and unsurpassable mediation" of Christ which "have always been claimed in the Church".
