SIR EUROPA: THE FINAL PROPOSALS OF THE SOCIAL WEEK OF FRANCE (2)

On a personal level, this is about inviting consumers to give priority to "seasonal, guaranteed, fair-trade products". On an agricultural policy level, instead, funds and technical support are asked for organic productions, and the establishment of a "high eco-quality" mark for non-organic productions". As to the urban areas, the participants in the Social Weeks ask that mobility be encouraged by means of subways, buses, taxies and bicycles. The companies are asked to "reconcile their legitimate economic imperatives with a wiser management" and above all a "careful, socially-responsible management of assets and resources". Then, the final proposals speak of a responsible use of water, because "it is one of the greatest challenges of the future", and of energy, by "deeply changing our lifestyles and consumption methods". Part of the final proposals is also devoted to the "geopolitical" issue, as they ask to "give more space to the developing countries in the international organisations".
