SIDNEY 2008: ENROLLMENT AT "VOCATIONS EXPO", VOCATION EXHIBITION, IS OPEN

Exhibitors intending to participate in Vocations Expo are now allowed to enrol. Vocations Expo is taking place in Sydney during the WYD week, from 15 to 20 July 2008. It is an exhibition area with areas for debates, giving also opportunities to know all the different vocations of life, including priesthood, marriage and family. It is also a call for the holiness of religious and consecrated life. According to the organizers, Vocations Expo should be "a central component of every WYD, to offer visitors the opportunity to get informed about the vocations of the Catholic Church". Anybody wishing to enrol (associations, movements, congregations, new communities) is welcome and may set up its own stand through WYD08 website: www.wyd2008.org. "Vocations Expo will be a vital element of the World Youth Day 2008 – stated Msgr. Anthony Fisher, bishop coordinating 2008 WYD, – with 500,000 young on a pilgrimage as a token of their faith. We want to make sure they receive an answer to their questions on vocations. The various stages of vocational life within the Church (priesthood, religious life and different lay vocations) will be represented by lots of religious orders, congregations, Church agencies and communities which will exhibit at Vocations Expo. There is a remarkable request for participation", concluded Msgr. Fisher.
