Roberto Bignoli won the 2007 “Unity Awards” by Ucmva (United catholic music and video association), the world’s Christian Music “Grammy” Award which is given in the USA every year. He won the prize as "international song" for his “Dulcis Maria -Totus Tuus” from his last record, produced in cooperation with Radio Kolbe Sat of Schio (Vi), arranged and produced by the musician singer/songwriter who also works for Enrico Ruggeri, Nico Fortarezza, who wrote the music of the song, while the lyrics were written by Bignoli with the musicologist and author of many church and liturgical songs, father Stefano Varnavà. The ceremony was held in Phoenix, Arizona (Usa). Other winners of the Unity Award are the American rapper Stan Fortuna who will be a guest at the WYD of Sydney in 2008, for rock music the Irish band “Ceili Rain”, for Latin music the Salvadorean singer/songwriter Jaime Cortez, for pop music the singer/songwriter Kara Klein. It is the eighth year that artists of Christian music are awarded the prize: the initiative began in 2000 for the Jubilee. The event was filmed by Ewtn, the biggest US Catholic TV, with over 70 million viewers.
