The Italian dioceses keep wondering about the future of our territories because of the paucity and sales of water. After the celebration of the second Day for the Protection of Creation (September 1st) and the Italian Bishops’ message about water, tomorrow, 4th October, the day of Saint Francis of Assisi, Bergamo will host the conference "Water, a glocal issue", organised by the Diocesan Office for the Social Pastoral. "Water, for all of mankind recall the organisers , risks becoming the main problem to be addressed. So much so that, in a near future, bloody wars might come out of it, as it already happens". "If we look at the figures about the worldwide per capita water consumption they add , we immediately see the differences between the poor countries and the wealthy countries. The consumption of this primary asset is therefore an issue that everyone must face, according to their own responsibilities and jurisdictions". The focus of the meeting will be "what can be done for our territory?": "Our thought they state , as well as to the political measures that might be taken, has been shifted to the education of the young. Environmental education at school must not be neglected". Speakers will include philosopher Luciano Valle, from the University of Pavia, and official delegates.
