"Other times of my stay in New York have remained deeply engraved in my soul as well", said the Pope at the end of the catechesis during today’s audience, entirely devoted to "taking stock" of his trip to the USA. "I will never forget ensured the Pontiff how warmly people wished me well for the third anniversary of my appointment to Peter’s Chair. It was a moving moment when I sensitively felt all the support of the Church for my ministry". Then the meeting with the young and the seminarians: "Looking at today’s dark shadows that threaten the life of the young commented the Holy Father , the young can find in the Saints the light that dispels them: the light of Christ, the hope of every man!". And "hope, stronger than sin and death", also inspired "the extremely moving moment" the Pope spent "in silence, in the crater of Ground Zero, praying for all the victims of that terrible tragedy". Finally, the Pope’s visit to the USA had its highlight in the Eucharistic Celebration in the Yankee Stadium in New York: "I still bear in my heart that feast of faith and fraternity, with which we celebrated the 200th anniversaries of the oldest dioceses in Northern America", said the Pope.
