The meeting of the Executive Committee of Ceem (Commission of European Bishops Conferences for the media) chaired by the bishop of Gap (France), mgr. Jean-Michel di Falco-Léandri, will take place in Rome from 25th to 27th April. After approving the protocol for the meeting of 2007 (Gap, 23-25 March), mgr. Aldo Giordano, secretary general of Ccee (Council of the Bishops Conferences of Europe), will present the work of Ccee. This will be followed by a similar presentation of the work of the Papal Council for Social Communication by its president, mgr. Claudio Maria Celli. After a report from the regional language groups and European bodies, a discussion will be held about the operational purposes and methods of Ceem, and about the schedule and theme (the culture of the web and the Church) of the plenary assembly of the Commission, due in 2009. The 2008 plenary meeting of Ccee (Budapest, 30-09/03-10) about the relation between the Church and the mass media will also be discussed.
