A "pool" of radio stations teaming up to broadcast information about the EU, the institutions of Brussels and Strasbourg, the common policies, the EBC, every day. As well as supranational topics, such as work, culture and regional development. This is what prompted 16 radio stations from 13 countries and 7 partner stations to team up in a consortium from April "to co-produce and broadcast, at the same time, day after day, programs about daily news and European society". The consortium of radio stations will broadcast news bulletins, interviews, extensive surveys and live events. "At first explain the offices of the deputy president of the EU Commission, Margot Wallstrom , the radio stations will use the 10 languages" of the countries in which the radio stations are based: Bulgarian, French, Greek, English, Polish, Portuguese, Rumanian, Spanish, German and Hungarian. The goal is to "gradually broadcast in all of the 23 languages" of the EU. Participating radio stations include: "Deutsche Welle", "Radio Polskie", "Radio France Internationale", the Spanish "Punto Radio", "Radio Netherlands", "Radio Slovenia". The EU will fund the initiative with 5.8 million euros a year for 5 years.
