"The acknowledgment of the elements of truth and goodness in world religions, of the seriousness of their religious efforts, and the very dialogue and spirit of collaboration with them, for the defence and the promotion of both the dignity of the people and universal moral values cannot be seen as a limitation to the missionary task of the Church, according to which the Church should continuously announce Christ as our path, truth, and life". It was confirmed by the Pope. On receiving in hearing the participants in the plenary session of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Pope pointed out that "the statement by the Vatican Council II that the real Church of Christ ‘exists within the Catholic Church’ does not concern just the relationship with Christian Churches and ecclesial communities, but it also includes the definition of the relationships with religions and cultures in the world". In the “Doctrinal note on a few aspects of evangelization” the other Document published by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in 2007 -, "before the risk of a persistent religious and cultural relativism", it is confirmed that pointed out the Pope "the Church, at the time of dialogue between religions and cultures, does not go without the necessity for evangelization and for the missionary activity towards peoples, nor it stops asking men to welcome the salvation offered to all the peoples".
