The survey commissioned by the EU Executive to check the effectiveness of Comenius shows that, "with Comenius, the aptitude for teamwork and computer skills improve in Europe" (a substantial part of cooperation between schools of different countries takes place via the Internet). According to the teachers taking part in such program, "this concerns 70% of their students". The rate of young people who have benefited from Comenius in the area of language skills is as high as 75%: in particular, "62% of the students have substantially improved their knowledge of English, while 23% did with some other language". In addition, the survey "shows that over 80% of the teachers noticed students were more interested in different countries and different cultures". Therefore, Comenius has improved the teachers’ work through a better understanding of different school and educational systems and by making for "ongoing professional contacts with the teachers of the partner schools".
