Nearly 42 million dollars are needed to face the humanitarian crisis, which, due to the violence that, following the disputed re-election of president Mwai Kibaki in Kenya on December 27th, affects about 500 thousand people: this is the appeal made by John Holmes, UN Coordinator for Emergency Humanitarian Aids. Going into the details, Holmes explains that over 10 million "will be allocated to food programs for about 250 thousand people, an area in which the Wfp (World Food Program) has been working for weeks".
