"The young today are seeking altruistic values. They are not afraid of great ideals. They must be able to propose them to their compatriots with simplicity but also with conviction", said the President of the CEI, Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, today, celebrating a mass in the parish of the Holy Family in the Mauritius Islands, where the flight that is bringing him to Sydney made a short technical landing. During the rite, concelebrated with 16 bishops, the cardinal, referring to the Gospel of the day, also exhorted "Christians to take a stance by combining truth and charity". Travelling in the same plane as Bagnasco are also 300 youth from the regions of the Marche and Lombardy. Tomorrow the President of the Italian Bishops will hold a press conference at the Casa Italia in Sydney (Hotel Radisson, at 12.00).
