(from our correspondents in Sydney) The number of Iraqis travelling to Sydney is still not known yet. This is what a number of Iraqis living in Sydney, who are taking part in WYD, have told SIR. Referring to the Iraqis whose visa applications have been rejected, Andra Yousif, from the Iraqi Australian delegation, expressed her regret: "We thought it could be a good opportunity to share WYD. Unfortunately authorities were afraid that these kids would ask for asylum once they got here. Instead I believe that this would not have happened because they would have never left their families behind."
