UNIVERSITY IN EUROPE: CCEE, MEETING OF THE COORDINATION COMMITTEE IN HOLLAND

Roermond, Holland, will host the meeting of the Coordination Committee of the University Commission of Ccee (Council of the European Bishops Conferences) from 28 to 30 March. The news was relayed by the University Pastoral Office of the Vicariate of Rome, stating that the meeting will open on Friday 28th March at 3 pm, with an opening address by mgr. Everard De Jong, auxiliary bishop of Roermond. After an introduction by mgr. Marek Jedraszewski, president of the University section of Ccee, and a presentation by mgr. Lorenzo Leuzzi, secretary of the section, Ton Meijknecht will give a speech about the university pastoral in Holland and the "specific method used in the city of Delft". This will be followed by mgr. Sergio Lanza, assistant general ecclesiastic of the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore, who will speak of the Pope’s speech at the meeting with Università La Sapienza in Rome, while father Enrico dal Covolo, of the Papal Urbaniana University, will speak of Benedict XVI’s speech to the participants in the meeting of rectors and lecturers of European universities (June 2007). Friday will end with Mass, officiated by mgr. Adrianus Herman van Luyn, bishop of Rotterdam and president of the Dutch Bishops Conference. (continued)
