The EU Commission will announce on 2nd April "its plans for the follow up on Plan D (Democracy, Dialogue, Debate) in order to enable the citizens to keep discussing the EU’s problems among them and with the political leaders and express their points of view to the EU decision-makers". It was announced by a release from the EU Executive before the closing the EU’s premises for the Easter holidays. These proposals, which will be included in Debate Europe (www.europa.eu/debateeurope), will be made public by the deputy president Margot Wallstrom. Other points on the EU’s agenda for the after-Easter period include the enforcement of the "Open sky" agreement between the 27 member states and the United States (30 March) and the extension of the Schengen agreement to the airports of Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Malta, Slovakia and Slovenia (31 March). On Monday 31st March, a conference will be organised by the EU Executive in Brussels to "encourage the development of wind energy": 4 thousand people are expected to attend the conference, including EU leaders, ministers of economy and energy, as well as Arthouros Zervos, president of the European Wind Energy Association (Ewea).
