BISHOP KIDNAPPED IN IRAQ: PRAYERS, SOLIDARITY AND APPEALS TO THE IRAQI GOVERNMENT FROM THE WEB

A candle for the release of Msgr. Faraj Paulus Rahho: it is the initiative of Baghdadhope, who invites everybody to pray and not forget the bishop of Mosul through the site: gratefulness.org. The bishop of Mosul has been in the hands of his kidnappers since February 29th. Following the instructions reported at the Baghdadhope site (www.baghdadhope.blogspot.com), it is actually possible to light a virtual candle for Msgr. Rahho. It is a gesture of communion and solidarity for the kidnapped bishop, and to keep drawing everybody’s attention to this affair, which is not particularly underlined by mass media. The initiative follows the appeal for prayer which was launched several times by Iraqi bishops, in the last few days. Still from the web, this time from the site Ankawa.com, we got the news about a signature collection "to condemn the kidnapping of Msgr. Rahho" and "to require, from the Iraqi government, a serious and effective action meant for obtaining the release of the bishop". To join it, click: www.ankawa.com/petition. ” ” ” ” ” “
