Mgr. Juan Antonio Martínez Camino, auxiliary bishop of Madrid, has been reappointed secretary general and spokesman of the Spanish Bishops Conference (Cee) for the five years 2008-2013. He was appointed during the XCII Plenary Meeting that is taking place in Madrid until November 28th. Mgr. Martínez Camino, born in Santa Cruz de Marcenado in 1953, had been secretary general of Cee since June 18th 2003. During the same Assembly, the diocese of Toledo was chosen to host the 2010 National Eucharistic Congress which is considered one of the actions covered by the pastoral plan of Cee for 2006-2010, focussed on the Eucharist and called "I am the bread of life. Living by the Eucharist". What will be celebrated in Toledo will be the X National Eucharistic Congress. The last one took place in Santiago di Compostela in 1999 about the Great Jubilee of 2000.
