(Daniele Rocchi, SIR correspondent in Lyon) 4,000 participants, most of whom coming from France, but also from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Austria, and Poland, as wells as dozens of stands: the French social Catholicism shows its human, cultural, media as well as spiritual resources. Therefore, the French Social Week is not just reports, debates and round tables. It is also something else: it lives on meetings and side activities meeting the various interests of participants. Tomorrow, in Villeurbanne, a European evening is scheduled for the young. On the other hand, art lovers may appreciate an exhibition by Alexander Glasberg until November 28th. In these three days, it is possible to visit the house of Pauline Jaricot, whose charisma generated the Papal opera of faith diffusion, or to take part in the synagogue or mosque prayers with the local Jewish and Islamic communities. The number of journalists of Catholic journals is also impressive: "La Croix", first of all, together with RCF and KTO, including televisions and radios of Catholic inspiration broadcasting by air or web streaming (www.jourduseigneur.com) the most important excerpts of the Week’s reports. Finally, an environmental note: meals, including cutlery and napkins, are served in biodegradable packages.
