On Tuesday 18th November, card. Godfried Danneels will celebrate Mass in repose of sister Emmanuelle’s soul, in the cathedral of Saint-Michel et Gudule in Brussels, which will be attended by the King and Queen of Belgium and the members of the Royal family too. It has been announced today by the Catholic news agency "Catho.bel". Sister Emmanuelle died the night between 19th and 20th October at Callian, in southern France. On 16th November, she would turn 100. At the news of her death, many people expressed their admiration for what sister Emmanuelle had done for disadvantaged people all over the world. The Belgian Bishops too said, in a release: "For nearly one century, this great woman has radiated her infectious generosity and enthusiasm all over the world. Her life invites us to be more charitable in ordeals and reminds us that it is love that saves the world".
