"TESTIMONIANZA", THE FILM ON JOHN PAUL II: CARD. DZIWISZ, "HE LOVED JOURNALISTS SO MUCH"(2)

I did not ask the Holy Father to see the film, I would never dare!". With these words, card. Dziwisz commented on Pope Benedict XVI’s expected attendance of tomorrow’s worldwide preview of "Testimonianza", the film. "The presence of the Holy Father – said the archbishop of Cracow – is a gift for all Polish people too, for his gesture towards John Paul II. It encourages us to go on". Questioned by the press on how he lived his earthly separation from John Paul II, Dziwisz answered: "John Paul II prepared us to this parting, to his moving to the House of the Lord: not only we who were close to him, but all the world, that saw him off". During the funeral service, then, "the reading book opened and closed: John Paul II – said his secretary – closed his life with us but turned a new page, which we are writing now. I feel he is with us, and I do not feel lonely". To a question about the cause of beatification, the cardinal answered: "We are still waiting for a saint! This is our wish, for this we pray, we hope we will get there during our lifetime".
