"Are the young unsatisfied about Europe? It seems not. All polls and surveys have reached the same conclusion: it is precisely the young generations that ask for and expect more Europe". The current presidency of the European Union presents an initiative that will be held in Nantes, France, on 10th and 11th October, involving 500 people aged 18 to 30 from the twenty-seven member states. Through the initiative called "Europeans’ words", the EU will ask the participants to outline "together twelve projects that they would like to see accomplished for the EU before 2020". Such proposals should come from the theme workshops that will be held on Friday 10th October and will be submitted on Saturday 11th to Felipe Gonzalez, president of the "Reflection Group on the future of Europe". The meeting will be attended by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bernard Kouchner. In particular, "the young will be given four challenges for the Europe" of tomorrow: "to strengthen the bonds between the EU and its citizens, build an innovative and sympathetic Europe, build the Europe of sustainable development, and give the EU a place in the world". The projects, like the 12 stars on the EU flags, will eventually be gathered in a document called "Twelve projects for 2020".
