"Healing the wounds and blotting out the memories of wars. Serbia before the burden of the past": this is the theme of the international seminar, taking place in Beograd from 28th to 30th September, promoted by the Conference of European Commissions "Justice and Peace". The opening of the Seminar is entrusted to Bishop Leo Schwarz, president of the Conference, while works will be introduced by the secretary general of the body, Jörg Lüer. Themes of the sessions: "The Serbian discussion about its identity. Causes of the conflict with Croatians and Albanians"; "Respect for the victims, first step towards peace. Painful memories and their impact on the current situation. Meeting with survivals and protagonists, visit to places"; "Serbia and its peace route with neighbours and itself". The members of the "Justice and Peace" Commissions of the different episcopates meet periodically to share experiences and problems, and to launch collaboration initiatives on a European level. Every year, a concerted action on a particular subject is launched. ” “
