This year, the Holy See will participate again in the celebration of the "European Heritage Days”, an event promoted by the Council of Europe that is currently celebrated by over 40 countries across the Continent. It will be held next Sunday, September 28th, about: "The European heritage for intercultural dialogue". The schedule states a release published today by the Vatican newsroom has been developed in cooperation with the Papal Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church, the Vatican Museums and the Papal Commission for Sacred Archaeology. The schedule includes, on Sunday, free entrance to the Vatican Museums all day, free entrance to all the Catacombs in Rome which are normally open to the public, and the opening of the photographic exhibition about: «Funeral customs and vestiges of late ancient Rome: a comparison of Christian, Pagan and Judaic burials», at the Catacomb of S. Callisto, Tricora Occidentale (Via Appia Antica, 110; from 10 am to 5 pm; closed on Wednesdays; the exhibition will be open until October 28th 2008), which will be opened on Saturday September 27th.
