Another item on the agenda of the EU meeting on the family, hosted by Institut du monde arabe in Paris, is the protection of children on the Internet. "The purpose of this meeting explains a note from Hon. Bertrand is to raise the awareness of society and make for exchanges between the Ministers about the problem of protecting children from the dangers of the Internet, as well as the other media, such as mobile phones or online games". The measures and protection system, especially in the fight against child pornography, "will be specifically discussed to share the good practices" found by Nadine Morano, French Secretary of State for the Family, "on the occasion of her travels in the United Kingdom and Norway". The Norwegian Minister of the Family has been invited to take part in the discussion, "because of the experience of this country in blocking child pornography websites". The French Secretary of State intends to add to the discussion "the methods to raise the awareness of the families, who often lag behind the progress of technology, and the parental control systems that can be proposed".
