Publishing: “Lucky those who don’t make do with little”, new book by Msgr. Galantino. Presentation in Rome

The new book by Msgr. Nunzio Galantino, Secretary General of the Italian Episcopal Conference is “Lucky those who don’t make do with little”; it will be presented at the Sturzo Institute, Rome, on 7 December (17:00), with speeches by historian Alberto Melloni, journalist Andrea Tornielli, and Italian President of the Azione Cattolica (Catholic Action) Matteo Truffelli. The author will be present. “The text is divided into two parts, Civil Speeches and Ecclesial Speeches, said the publisher of AC. There are the most significant speeches made by Monsignor Galantino in the last few years, during ecclesial, political or civil meetings in Italy: in the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate of the Republic, the Spoleto Festival of the Two Worlds, and the De Gasperi Foundation in Trentino”. Several topics debated: “from immigration to youth civil service, from the future of the Italian Church after the Meeting of Florence to the relation of science and Gospel”. The Ave press office (www.editriceave.it) says: the one of Msgr. Galantino “is one of the most influential and incisive voices in the current Italian ecclesial scenario. In his speeches, he refers to the Christians as well as the lay world, the subjects of faith as well as human and ethical values: from faithfulness to the Gospel to the rights of refugees, from religious freedom to the rights of women”.
