XX WYD: IN KREFELD, EXCURSIONS BY CANOE AND MEDIAEVAL KNIGHTS TO MEET YOUNG PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES

” “An excursion on the river by canoe and dinghy, with picnics and walks amidst nature. Then, everyone will move to Linn Castle for the "Peoples’ Party", with mediaeval knights and a final barbecue while getting to know young people from other countries. This is today’s plan for the young Italians from the diocese of Concordia-Pordenone, who stay at Krefeld’s catholic mission, 60 km from Cologne. More young Italians (From Trani) and a group of Bosnians also stay in Krefeld. The party at the castle, explained father Renzo Stefani, in charge of Krefeld mission, "will be an opportunity to meet and get to know people from different countries. Each group will be asked to give a play about their region". The meeting will open with a historical commemoration in period costume with no less than plenty of mediaeval knights and other characters.
