” “The "confessional on wheels" of the Catholic International Charity Work "Aid to the Church that suffers(ACS)/Help to the Eastern Clergy" ("Kirche in Not/Ostpriesterhilfe") is travelling towards Düsseldorf for the World Youth Day. The Catholic Organisation itself has made this known, and informed: "On Wednesday 17th August, the confessional carried out on a coach will park from 10 am to 6 pm at the Church of St Anthony in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel. The spiritual director of "Kirche in Not", Father Hermann-Josef Hubka, will be available for conversations and spiritual advice and, of course, also for confession". The "confessional on wheels" has been travelling around for over 1 year now and is under the pastoral care of the bishop of Eichstätt, Monsignor Walter Mixa. The vehicle continues the tradition of the travelling churches, that is vehicles transformed into chapels with which, after the second world war, Father Werenfried van Straaten ("Father Lard") contributed towards safeguarding pastoral care for catholic refugees. Amongst the many initiatives of the Work: travelling churches on the Amazon River in Brazil and on the Volga River and on the Don River in Russia.
