XX WYD: IN COLOGNE AS THANKSGIVING FOR HAVING ESCAPED THE LONDON BOMB ATTACKS

"I am going to take part in the 20th World Youth Day to thank the Lord for having escaped the bomb attacks that struck London". These words were spoken by Sir Jahyas Abraham, 25 years old, Londoner, who is in Essen attending the "Youth Arise International Festival" promoted by YAI, an international network of evangelization associations. Jahyas is a student who works part-time in a shop located inside the Huston Underground station in London, one of the stations struck by the terrorist attacks. "That day – he tells us – I finished my shift at 3 and the bombs exploded 6 hours later. It was the Divine Will that saved me and so I am here to thank the Lord. My presence here at the 20th World Youth Day means to be a sign". (continues)
