XX WYD: 20 SPIRITUAL CENTRES OPEN DAY AND NIGHT FOR THE PILGRIMS’PRAYER

” “20 Spiritual centres will remain open day and night from today until 20th August in Cologne, Bonn and Düsseldorf to allow young people to meet in prayer. 16 centres are in Cologne, 2 in Bonn and 2 are in Düsseldorf. In these centres, managed by different religious orders, it is possible – informed the 20th WYD Press Office – to take part in Masses, meditations and other forms of common prayer. Churches dedicated to patron saints of the WYD were chosen, amongst which the church of St. Ursula dedicated to its name sake, St. Andreas  Cologne, the church where the bones of Albert the Great lie, the Minoritenkirche, where there is the tomb of Adolph Kolping. Prayer booklets (Magnifikat) will be distributed in every spiritual centre, which also include amongst others the Hours Liturgy celebrated by the majority of orders in the same way. About 300 pilgrims are expected for the celebration of the respective Hours Liturgy.
