” “A big wooden church operated by solar energy, information booths on how to build solar panels on one’s own, how to use the power of wind, water and the biomass, a fair-trade bar serving alcohol-free drinks only, a radio station and a website kept up to date on the WYD throughout the event: this is the Global Village that has been set up in Bonn, at Beethovenalle, by the German Catholic Rural Youth Movement (Kljb), a big meeting place for the protection of the universe and renewable energy open from August 15th to August 21st.
